Getting to the starting point

Step 1

Take Rue des Sapins behind the cultural center. At the intersection, continue straight on Rue du Riclaud to see the fountain wash house 50 m away and retrace your steps. Turn left twice. Walk 2 m along Rue de la Mairie following the protected area.

Step 2

Turn right at the speed bump to follow the Chemin des Tuileries. Ignore the path on the left and continue to the road that you take to the left.

Step 3

Take Chemin des Bacheliers on the right. Leave the path at the bottom of the valley to take the grassy path on the left along a stream. Go back towards Château Maillou and pass it.

Step 4

Follow the Route des Chaumes to the right, then immediately turn left into the Chemin des Combes which winds among the vineyards and crops – see the dry stone wall.

Step 5

Turn left at the edge of the wood. Turn left at 600 m and go up towards the Sireuil road which you follow carefully to the left for 700 m.

Step 6

Leave the road just before the town entrance sign for the right-hand path which descends gently. At the intersection in the woods, continue straight on the path that climbs, bordered on both sides by the pieces of vines.

Step 7

At the fork, turn left twice to reach the village of Les Frégonnières, in the town of Linars. Follow the road to the left – see at the exit of the village the remains of a fireplace, oven and pones, probable elements of an old laundry room.
Continue on the small road which climbs gently towards the village of Saint-Saturnin.

Step 8

Take the small Rue de la Fontaine on the left – see the washhouse and its fountain below the church. Leave the street to take the path alongside the house immediately on the right. Continue to the left at the intersection of the alleys and come out on Rue de l'église which you follow to the left.

Step 9

See the Saint-Saturnin church and turn right onto Rue Calvin. Turn left on Rue des Sapins then right to find the cultural center and the starting point.
