The walls of Angoulême are decorated with around thirty XXL frescoes that recall the city's connection with comics. The colour sprang from the imagination of authors to pay tribute to the great comic book characters and their creators. Other works are inspired by the riches of Angoulême: the paper industry, UNESCO, image schools and companies, etc.
The proposed route allows you to discover several painted walls while heading towards the "image district". The spectacular Moebius Ship is turned towards the Charente where the statue of Corto looks towards the horizon.
Finally, the visit ends with the exceptional discovery of the reserves of the Comic Strip Museum. Accompanied by a mediator, the visitor enters the holy of holies: the rooms where thousands of works and original plates are preserved and restored.
