Eglise Saint Ausone

It was built between 1856 and 1868 by the architect Paul Abadie Fils on the site of the former abbey of Saint-Ausone, founded near the tomb of Saint-Martyr.

The current church is placed under the triple vocation of Saint-Ausone, Saint-Césaire and Saint-Aptone.
It was built between 1856 and 1868 by the architect Paul Abadie Fils on the site of the former abbey of Saint-Ausone, founded near the tomb of Saint-Martyr.
It has a square porch under a bell tower, a nave with side aisles, a transept and a choir with a flat apse. Its composition recalls the Gothic style of the XNUMXth century.
The pyramidal spire envisaged by Paul Abadie Fils was replaced by a “bulbous” crowning.
