Mur peint « Lucky Luke, les Dalton et Jolly Jumper »

The morphology of the brick and stone wall and its numerous bricked-up windows offer an ideal setting to showcase the 4 Dalton brothers, Lucky Luke and his faithful horse Jolly Jumper.

Everyone knows Lucky Luke, the cowboy who shoots faster than his shadow, Jolly Jumper, the fastest horse in the west and the Dalton brothers: Joe, the meanest, Jack, William and Averell, the stupidest . All these characters were created in 1946 by Morris, a Belgian designer (1946-2001).
For the first adventures, Morris wrote the scenarios himself but, from 1955, he entrusted this work to René Goscinny. They worked together until the death of the great screenwriter in 1977. After Goscinny, Morris worked with other screenwriters (Greg, Bob de Groot...). After the death of Morris, Achdé took over the character, surrounding himself with prestigious screenwriters: Laurent Gerra, Daniel Pennac, Tonino Benacquista. The adventures of Lucky Luke have seen numerous adaptations in TV series, video games, animated films and live-action films.
Fresco created in 2001 by the muralist association “Cité Création”.
