A real invitation to stroll and explore on foot or by bike for a ride along the water.
Built on the old towpath along the Charente River, the green belt offers, in complete tranquility, a picturesque stroll over nearly 20 km between Saint-Yrieix and Linars.
The journey from North to South
The Coulée Verte runs along the Charente river on the right bank, from Petite Prairie (St Yrieix) to the Fleurac mill (Linars), i.e. 15km. For the more courageous it is possible to continue on the left bank to the Pont de la Meure (Nersac) 3.5 km.
The path will invite you to discover rich and varied vegetation ranging from wet meadows to riverside woodlands. The environments you will cross are conducive to many species of birds, amphibians, insects and small mammals.
