From May 14th to 17th, 2026, GrandAngoulême will host the Maxi Verte in the town of Champniers! Pure bliss for all mountain biking enthusiasts!
A nationwide celebration of mountain biking, gravel (between mountain biking and road biking) and hiking, a four-day gathering that combines sport and conviviality.
Between forests, Cognac vineyards, rolling hills, and charming villages, over 3000 mountain bikers will explore undergrowth and gravel paths, discovering panoramic views, the Charente Valley, Romanesque churches, and other historic dwellings. Offering smooth yet challenging terrain, the Charente region will also be a friendly and gourmet playground, with numerous stops to sample local flavors. Around Champniers and throughout much of the Charente, routes of varying difficulty levels will provide enjoyable sporting experiences… as well as sightseeing opportunities!
