The Sustainable Tourism Fund was launched as part of the ADEME Recovery Plan in 2021. Its objective is to support tourism stakeholders (accommodators and restaurateurs) through financial aid and to encourage them to adopt more virtuous and less energy-intensive tourism.
Charentes Tourisme, as a partner of ADEME, supports eligible tourism providers in Charente. This is done through a free environmental diagnosis and an action plan allowing them to benefit from the Sustainable Tourism Fund.
Since the launch of this system, 58 Charente-based structures have benefited from support from Charentes Tourisme. They obtained €1 in subsidy from ADEME.
To date, 10 tourist providers in GrandAngoulême have already benefited from this financial support; i.e. €204 dedicated to local tourism development.
Endowed with 16 million euros, this system is ensured until the end of 2024 with around sixty eligible actions in the areas of lighting, mobility, energy efficiency (insulation, heat production), energy resources. water or waste management.
As a reminder, Charentes Tourisme offers service providers and project leaders in the region (excluding Angoulême given the size of the municipality) local and free support.
2024 is the last year to benefit from this system which helps to reduce costs and improve its environmental impact. The scope of possible actions is wide; to know more :
