For 20 years already, Julien Neel has published, with Glénat editions, the adventures of Lou, a little blonde girl who lives alone with her mother and grows up from volume to volume.
Since her birth and her father's escape, Lou has been raised by her mother, a teenage fan of video games, in the middle of writing her first science fiction novel, in an imaginary city inspired by the places where Julien Neel lived (Parisian suburbs). and Aix-en-Provence in particular). We discover in small touches everything that makes up the daily life of a girl then aged around twelve: her best friend Mina, her lifelong crush, Tristan, her passions for sewing and the theater, her cantankerous grandmother, school and her cat. The tone is light and funny, but also leaves room for moments of doubt, mother-daughter tenderness, and puts in place all the elements that will make Lou! a comic strip that will never stop inventing suspended forms and moments for the greatest pleasure of its readers.
This exhibition invites you behind the scenes of Lou's unique and irresistible universe, through the highlights and emblematic places of the series, a visit to Julien Neel's workshop and a dive into the twists and turns of creating a of the most endearing current comic series.
