Festival International de la Bande Dessinée

The most important comic book event in the world, the Angoulême International Comics Festival welcomes nearly 6000 comics professionals from all over the world!

Festival-goers are welcomed in more than 20 different places in the city of Angoulême:
- around twenty exhibitions (museums, Espace Franquin, Alpha media library, etc.)
- 8 thematic spaces (Youth Space, Youth Quarter, Publishers Space, Manga Space, ...)
- comic shows
- masterclasses
- a Christian comic strip program at St Pierre Cathedral and St Martial Church (exhibitions, meetings, sale of albums)
- an Off festival...

For its 52nd edition, the Festival will have the pleasure of celebrating the 9th Spanish art in all its richness and diversity. The Festival and Spain will invite the general public and professionals to embark on a trans-Pyrenean journey thanks to numerous events organized throughout the city:
- An exceptional exhibition in the heart of the city, which will give Festival-goers a journey representative of 9th Spanish art as a whole
- A pavilion entirely dedicated to Hispanic creation
- Spanish comics for children highlighted in a dedicated space within the Youth Quarter
- Events for professionals at the International Rights Market
- A tapas food truck
And finally, the Festival will also have the great pleasure of welcoming a large delegation of Spanish artists and publishing houses to Angoulême!
