Why we love

The Flow Vélo ® is the sweet name of a national cycle route which connects Sarlat-la-Canéda in Dordogne to the island of Aix in Charente-Maritime, crisscrossing the Charente from East to West crossing the territory of GrandAngoulême.

More information

A chic and green countryside, a Charente river full of nuances and curvatures, a hilly vineyard, an ocean with vibrant accents, villages of stone, water and charm...
The Flow Vélo ® invites you to take a gentle journey of nearly 350 km, in slow tourism mode, in the heart of New Aquitaine. The Flow Vélo® connects La Scandibérique which links Trondheim (Norway) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and the Vélodyssée linking the south of England to the Basque coast.

Pedal along the Charente river
From Angoulême to Rochefort, La Flow Vélo® runs along the Charente river. Languorous, peaceful, the river lends itself to gentle and bucolic escapades. Navigable from Angoulême to the sea by habitable boat, the Charente is punctuated by locks and small humped bridges. It offers freshwater sailors numerous stopover possibilities to get on their bike… and set off on La Flow Vélo®.
