Le Moulin du Verger – Craft stationery
Chemin du Moulin du Verger
16400 Puymoyen
Located south of Angoulême in the town of Puymoyen, the Moulin du Verger blends harmoniously into the hollow of the Eaux-Claires valley. Created in 1539, it is one of the oldest paper mills in Angoumois.
Craft paper was made there from rags crushed by a battery of mallets still visible. Over time, paddle wheels, vats and a Dutch stack have been added to complete the set.
Listed as a Historic Monument since 1991, the Moulin du Verger continues to produce by hand, sought-after papers for luxury editions.
