Musée d’Angoulême

The Musée d'Angoulême offers collections ranging from the paleontology of the Charente, to the Fine Arts and non-European arts.

Access to the museum is via a sunny garden at the apse of the Cathédrale St Pierre in Angoulême.
On the 3rd floor you can appreciate a selection of paintings, sculptures, ceramics from the 16th century to the beginning of the 20th, and the productions of Charente artists.
To enhance your visit, we offer various activities (visits, workshops, conferences, etc.) and visit assistance, game trails for the youngest, olfactory terminals, etc.

Museum 3.0: Come discover or rediscover the permanent collections using films, virtual reality, augmented reality, serious games and enjoy a new presentation of the Agris helmet; Each level has surprises in store for you. Astonishment and curiosity guaranteed! Do not hesitate to ask advice at reception so as not to miss one of these new digital tools, some will be directly accessible during the course and others via a tablet.

A public service is available to visitors, groups and individuals.
Possibility of reduced rates and individual, family and association subscriptions for events.
Self-guided or guided tours for groups by appointment (from 8 to 25 people).
