Mur peint « Un samedi à Malakoff »

The original wall became a pavilion, symbol of a time when life was good in working-class suburbs.

You are no longer in Angoulême. We are no longer today... We are in Malakoff, in the Parisian suburbs, in the 60s. You watch Lucien pass by, in the street on his motorbike. Lucien is the banana rocker, the favorite character of Frank Margerin, a French cartoonist who received the grand prize at the Angoulême international comics festival in 1992.
Lucien has a rare characteristic in comics: he gets old! Thus, in the last album published (in 2011), he is 30 years older than in the first volume (published in 1982). Lucien is getting older, but he still makes us laugh!
Fresco created in 2000 by the association of muralists “Cité Création”.
