Created in 1994 in Angoulême, the Festival Piano en Valois has quickly established itself as one of the largest Piano festivals in Europe.

With a balanced and eclectic program, it has become the unmissable meeting place for piano lovers. Indeed, over the last 2 decades, Piano en Valois offered nearly 400 shows; thus establishing itself as one of the most innovative festivals in the European musical landscape. The festival has also developed solid partnerships throughout the territory.

The greatest legends of Classical piano (Earl Wild, François-René Duchable, Katia and Marielle Labèque, etc.) but also of Jazz piano (Michel Petrucciani, Jacky Terrasson, Monty Alexander, etc.) have built the reputation of Piano en Valois.

The Festival has also enabled many young talents to start their French careers before becoming the biggest piano stars of today (Bertrand Chamayou, Khatia Buniatishvili, Kotaro Fukuma…). Finally, through creations and crossings of musical genres, the festival was able to welcome key personalities such as Juliette Greco, Michael Lonsdale, Alain Chamfort, among others.
