Le Circuit des Remparts d’Angoulême is an automobile speed event contested on a 1 meter long automobile circuit whose layout plays with the battlements from Angoulême.
More than a car race, The Circuit des Remparts d'Angoulême is an event which celebrates the automobile heritage and all the brands which have contributed to building this exciting history.
Born in 1939 in Angoulême, Circuit des Remparts established itself from its first edition as an unmissable event. After more than 80 years and 51 editions, this event remains legendary despite its turbulent history; and this because it has been able to evolve, reinvent itself and innovate while keeping the soul of its beginnings. The route in town of 1279 meters in particular remains unchanged. Thus, the event welcomes several hundred old vehicles each year in September. They compete on a closed circuit, meet on rallies or exhibit themselves during a competition of elegance and a state competition.
