Since their first edition, the Gastronomades have passionately celebrated the exceptional products that are the pride of the Charente and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. A true gathering of flavors, the event showcases the expertise of local producers, artisans, and chefs.

A gourmet and festive weekend
For the pleasure of the senses, for discovery, for enjoying good food, preparing for the holidays or simply sharing a good time… Gastronomades is a promise of deliciousness and sharing!
For one weekend, Angoulême becomes the stage for a major gourmet event, where today's products and cuisine are celebrated. From field to plate, producers, artisans, chefs, apprentices, professionals and enthusiasts come together with a shared desire: to celebrate local taste and know-how.
Exhibitions, debates, culinary demonstrations, tasty competitions and tastings of artisanal products punctuate this weekend, which is all about sharing and conviviality.
A pioneering and inspiring festival
A pioneer in its field, the festival was one of the first to showcase chefs, to cross gastronomic and artistic cultures, to encourage short supply chains and to promote good food — even in institutional catering.
Year after year, the Gastronomades confirm their role as a transmitter of taste, an ambassador of local produce and a meeting place between tradition and culinary creativity.

- Masterclasses allowing cooking enthusiasts to improve their skills and discover the secrets of great chefs
- 150 producers and artisans showcasing the richness and diversity of local products
In the city center of Angoulême
Many activities are available free of charge in the city centre:
- The Gastronomades menu, created by chef Margaux Elie, who rose to fame on Top Chef, will be served in nurseries, schools, colleges, businesses, healthcare facilities, and nursing homes.
- A gallery of 40 portraits of apprentices from Charente displayed in the town centre squares, celebrating their journeys and successes.
- Gastronomades in nursing homes: In 10 nursing homes, grandchildren and grandparents meet around pastries, sharing recipes and memories in a warm atmosphere.
- The semi-final of the amateur pastry chef competition will take place on Saturday, November 22nd from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Les Halles.
- Special cinema & tasting session on Friday, November 27th at 19:30 pm at the CGR cinema with a screening of the film "Le Grand Restaurant". The screening will be followed by a tasting of wines, charcuterie, and cheeses with representatives from Maison Soulat, L'Île aux Fromages, and Joris Dantony.
- Festive evening at Les Halles on Friday, November 28th, starting at 20pm
