To the west of the country of Angoulême begin the Cognac wine-growing lands. Many of the estates between Saint-Saturnin and Claix offer visits to the vineyards. From June to October, hiking in the vineyards becomes a must for the destination.

> Circuit entre vignes et pierres in St-Saturnin – 15,5km
A beautiful immersion in the vineyards of Cognac by ridge paths where splendid 360° panoramas are offered to hikers on both sides of the Fontguyon valley.

> Circuit des vignes in Sireuil – 14km
Go for a beautiful hike along the Charente, discover the village of Sireuil, then take to the heights for an immersion in the heart of the Cognac vineyard.

> Circuit des collines in Plassac-Rouffiac – 10km
Set off on a circuit offering beautiful views over the hilly countryside of southern Charente, with colors changing with the seasons, from ochres to white on the chalky hills in winter, and from green to gold on the crops on sunny days.

> Circuit entre vignes et Nouère in Asnière sur Nouère – 9km
Follow the Voie Verte, the former P'tit Rouillat railway line. Walk between vineyards, small woods and crops before returning to the Nouère in the charming village of Gouthiers.

> Circuit des fontaines et du fleuve Charente in Marsac – 8km
This beautiful hilly hike will take you from the fountains of Ladoux, les Guérinauds and La Faye to the Charente river.
