The Saint-Pierre d'Angoulême cathedral is remarkable both for its Romanesque architecture dating from the XNUMXth century and for its Treasure created by the visual artist Jean-Michel Othoniel.
Since 2016, the Treasury has revealed in three rooms part of the important collection of religious objects from the diocesan deposit. Colored blown glass, the artist's favorite material which makes up most of his creations with magical and baroque accents, is at the heart of the Angoumois project. The stained glass windows in blue and gold tones diffuse a colored light which contributes to the dreamlike atmosphere of the place.
